Location And Facilities

Our school is set in a history-charged area right next to Monroe Park in the idyllic Zehlendorf district of Berlin.

The school is housed in a listed building, which simply exudes history. In the Bauhaus-style main building, tens of thousands of patents – including a patent for colour television – were developed by the Telefunken company. After the war, it was used by the American “Berlin Brigade”, which received its official farewell from Bill Clinton and Helmut Kohl in 1994. The premises then served as a set for a large number of international films, such as “The Airlift”, “The Bourne Conspiracy” and “Baltic Storm”.

The generously proportioned school building was extensively refurbished in 2009 and is located in the heart of a quiet residential area. Our children have plenty of opportunities for outdoor exercise. A football pitch and a playground are situated directly adjacent to our building. Our easy connections to the Grunewald Forest and the extensively wooded Heinrich Laehr Park enable us to undertake regular nature excursions with students and devote time to the exploration of the environment.
